How to get there

Steps To Get To Aloita

1. Arrival at Padang Airport

The only entry point to the Mentawai Islands is Padang Airport (PDG).
Currently, the best way to reach Padang is by flying from Jakarta with Garuda, Citilink, or Pelita Air, or from Kuala Lumpur with AirAsia.

2. Fast Ferry from Padang to the Mentawai Islands (Tua Pejat)

The ferry departs from Padang to the Mentawai Islands at 10 am on Sundays and Mondays, and at 7 am on Wednesdays and Fridays. We recommend that our guests arrive in Padang one day before the ferry departure.

For your return trip, please note that the Mentawai fast ferry leaves the islands every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 3 pm, arriving in Padang around 7 pm. Allow approximately 1 hour for the car ride from the ferry terminal to the airport. Proper planning will ensure a smooth transition from the islands to your departure point.

3. Transfer from Tua Pejat to Aloita Resort

Once in Tua Pejat, our staff will pick you up and take you to Aloita Resort via our private speedboat, a 15-minute journey.
You can either organize your own transfer to Tua Pejat, where our staff will greet you and transfer you by speedboat to Aloita, or you can book the Transfer Package and let us handle everything for you.

Please Note: Aloita Resort have a ‘Transfer Package Service’ you can pay for seperately to pick you up from Padang Airport all the way through including the Ferry to Tua Pejat. We will help you arrange this if you wish.
