AE Adventure's very first trip.

This is the one that started it all. Seven days in the Hakuba Valley with direct ski access to Happo-One's Sakka slopes, an outdoor onsen to thaw out in after, and evenings at The Wadano's own izakaya with the crew. No itinerary packed to the minute, just good runs, good food and a group of strangers who won't be strangers by the end of it.

This isn't a fitness retreat. AE Adventure is Active Escapes' new line, the same close crew spirit our fitness retreats are known for, nobody left behind, just built around mountains, trails and open water instead of a studio. Everyone who joins this one is founding crew.

Fuel up at The Wadano before first lifts. Hot food, good coffee, no rush, just enough time to layer up before the mountain opens.

Full days on Happo-One's Sakka slopes with the crew. Mixed ability groups, so everyone rides at their own pace, from first turns to backcountry lines.

Tired legs go straight into the outdoor onsen as the light drops over the valley. Hot water, cold air, zero rush to be anywhere else.

What if I'm not an experienced skier?

AE Adventure is built for mixed ability, same as our fitness retreats. Tell us your level when you book and we'll group you with riders at a similar pace. There's no minimum experience to join.

Do I need to book flights separately?

Yes, flights aren't included, so you're free to book whatever fits your schedule and budget. We'll share arrival guidance once you've booked so you can land in time for the welcome dinner.

What's the deposit and payment plan?

A deposit secures your spot, and it's due by October 31st to lock in a place on the founding trip. The balance is due 60 days before departure. We offer flexible payment plans in the lead up. Just reach out to the team and we'll sort something that works.

What is AE Adventure?

This isn't one of our studio fitness retreats. AE Adventure is Active Escapes' new line of trips built around the outdoors: skiing, hiking, surfing and beyond. Same crew, same team behind it, same promise that you'll leave with mates, not just a stamp in your passport.
